Sable Yong Talks Stressed Skin and How To Achieve a Juicy Glow.

Written by Sable Yong.

When it comes to glowing up, you and your skin might have the same goals but maybe not the same idea of how to get there. My entire skincare regimen is dedicated to getting that glass skin look—you know, that dewy, juicy, glowing skin that blinds people when the light hits it just right. Every day I read something on the Internet claiming that some new product is “the best serum for glowing skin — hands down!” but don’t you find it a bit weird how so many products seem to say the same thing about themselves, hmm?

My own glow-up involved an onslaught of acidic chemical exfoliators that technically did the job but also dehydrated my skin and compromised my barrier to the point that even my usual serums were starting to sting. Yikes. Sensitive and sensitized skin has a slightly trickier path to glowing that involves maybe not pissing it off so much with harsh actives. This is where Glow Serum slides into frame. Oh hello, didn’t see you there!

Glow Serum is like that chill friend that supports you without pushing you too far beyond your comfort zone. Instead of sloughing away dullness, it has brightening, hydrating, calming, and antioxidant ingredients to not just encourage your skin cells to do the glass skin thing, but also is a cushy moisturizing formula that soothes and protects your skin. Let’s meet them, shall we?

Saffron

This is the Rolla Royce of spices, being one of the most expensive in the world, and it’s also harvested for only two weeks out of the year. Saffron benefits for skin include vitamin C and antioxidants to brighten overall skin tone, even out hyperpigmentation, and repair cell damage.

Oat Milk

Great in a latte, great for skin too. Who knew? Oatmeal in general has always been a go-to for soothing itchy, dry, or irritated skin. Oat milk benefits however also include that, plus extra hydration and moisture to cushion your skin barrier against water loss and calm any irritation from harsh acids or existing inflammation.

1000 MG Broad-Spectrum CBD

Glow Serum has the highest concentration of CBD in the WLDKAT range so far. The hemp-derived, broad-spectrum CBD is here for all the heavy lifting with anti-inflammatory and moisturizing duties. Hemp seed oil along with the other plant-based oils in this formula make Glow Serum an inside as well as an outside job—it’s a self-sealing serum that locks in moisture.

When should you use Glow Serum?

I wouldn’t say there’s a hard and fast rule to when and how often, but it’s gentle enough to be used twice a day, so you could incorporate it into your morning and evening routine. I use this in the morning, after cleansing and toning, and before moisturizer. It’s replaced my straight-up vitamin C serum since it can brighten and get rid of dullness while also nourishing and hydrating. I like how it sets my skin up for the day with plump, juicy skin that feels supple and comfortable until it’s time for my evening routine.
